Hi everyone!
Lola here, from Young Mary’s. In case you’re wondering why you’re not able to make any purchases right now, I’ve had to take a short break from selling directly on Young Mary’s as my family prepares for our next big move!
This is a very exciting move for us, albeit a very stressful one too.
As some of you may know, I first started Young Mary’s while living and working in Nigeria. Since then I’ve been lucky enough to launch Young Mary’s both in the US and in the U.K. However after 5 wonderful years in Britain, the time has come to pack our bags and start the next chapter.
Unlike before though, when it was just me and later Sam, we now have two little ones making the move with us too. The process of moving with two kids (3 if you count my candle babies) is way more challenging than I ever imagined and we’re only just starting this process!
As a result, I’ve had to make the hard decision to take a break from Young Mary’s for the time being.
For anyone in the Bristol area, you can still find our candles at Prior in Cabot Circus (Young Mary's – PRIOR SHOP) both online and in person. If you’re in London, Inspired by Africa in Croydon (Inspired by Africa - BOXPARK) is where to go!
We’ll also be doing some in person events later in the summer, first up is Bellafricana TALES. Taking place 4 - 10 July in London (IG: bellafricanauk)
While this news is bittersweet, I promise this isn’t the end of Young Mary’s. And even though it may take some time for us to fully get back up and running again, I promise when we finally do, we’ll be back bigger and better than ever!
